We’re excited to invite you to our Second Saturday Artist Reception and the opening of a new exhibit: Rain or Shine: Brothers Building and Moving
Brothers Building and Moving (BBM) is a program of the nonprofit Elevated Legacy, designed as a safe space for Black fathers and would-be fathers to share, workshop challenges, and move together on a journey of growth, self-mastery, community impact, and health.
This exhibit features photographs taken during BBM’s weekly Sunday morning 6:30AM hike, a practice built on consistency, community, and accountability. The hike happens rain or shine — as long as two people are in agreement. In the last several years, there have been only a couple of mornings when the hike did not happen, reflecting the deep commitment that BBM brings to showing up for one another.
