Join us for our Second Saturday Artist Reception this month as we celebrate the incredible members of our Black Women’s Art Collective and special guest artist Nancy Johnson!
Nancy Faye is a retired educator and technical editor whose relationship with art has been a steady, lifelong presence. She first explored pastels and drawing through classes at City College of San Francisco and Studio One in 1977, and from 1993 to 1996 brought her creative instincts into the classroom, teaching art to elementary school children in grades 1 through 8. Her professional life spanned administration, technical editing, and counseling — disciplines that together gave her a precision of eye and a patience for detail that now define her practice.
